DOWNY : a bird life — Free Flight Demo is an early playable fragment of a larger project currently in development by Skeleton Diaries.

This demo isolates one thing:

flight.

Take control of a rainbow lorikeet and move freely through a tropical environment. Dive through open air. Climb above the canopy. Bank hard between trees. Skim the terrain. Lose altitude. Recover. Keep flying.

There are no missions, you dont have a nest, and nothing is hunting you. 

This is the flight system stripped down and exposed.

The Free Flight Demo exists as an early look at the movement and atmosphere being developed for the full version of DOWNY : a bird life.

The larger project is intended to expand beyond this with a nest progression system where you bank points and land in your home tree with your nest and you build it larger and larger while also avoiding predators. 

We are releasing this one lorikeet to get feedback and see where is the strongest direction to go with this game.
